Jean Alesi gets a fantastic 31st birthday present: his only Formula One victory – the Canadian Grand Prix – driving the #27 Ferrari 412T2. This would be the last win with a V12 engine to date.
The results were given after 68 laps, even though the race was supposed to be run for 69. The officials brought out the black flag because the spectators invaded the track after Mr. Alesis win.
