Gerhard Berger scores his first win, and also Benettons first, by winning the 1986 Mexican Grand Prix with the Benetton B186. His Pirelli tyres lasted the race throughout, compared to the competitors Goodyears, allowing him not to pit and ease in some 25 seconds ahead of Alain Prost.
